Cleansing with nothing or In a dorm.

I had someone ask me the other day about cleansing to help with negative energies. Several ideas came to mind and I'm sure many of you reading this now are probably thinking of at least one of the ideas. However, as per usual I'm posting for those that can't get their paws on the items needed.

1. You can sprinkle salt around the area you wish to cleanse, on the floor and furniture and along window sills. Any area where the salt will be able to land on. Let it set for a few minutes to neutralize the energy of the room then clean it up.

2. Include Salt in cleaning solutions. Mop Water, Windex, Laundry, Dishwater. The salt will remove all energies clinging to the items.

3. Bless some water and flick it around the area. You can put the water in a bowl, or a cup and just dip your fingers in and flick the water around. Or if you have an empty spray bottle you can use that to spritz it in the area (in this case I like adding scent to the water when able).

4. Replace smudge sticks with incense or scented disinfectant spray. Incense will work just as well as any smudge stick, and I've heard good things about dragon's blood. However it's whatever scent you feel smells cleansing or lightening. Though sometimes you can't burn it because of the smoke, in which case the spray will make for a good substitute. I know it seems a lot like the water, but "disinfectant"...

5. Or, if you can't even get your hand on salt, water or anything else listed above then this step is for you. Physically clean the area and focus on knocking out the negativity along with the dirt. As you're dusting, you're wiping away the negative, as you're sweeping, you're knocking out the energies, etc.

You can also include all these steps in one go if you're able to and like. It's whatever you are able to do, what feels right to you, and what your situation entails.
